With the Premier Soccer League having confirmed the dates for the start of the new season, it appears as though that Orlando Pirates are leading the way with the preparations for the new Absa Premiership campaign.
The PSL announced on Wednesday that the 2019/20 season has been scheduled to start on the weekend of 02/03 August 2019.
As reported, Bucs have been busy with recruitment of players from different clubs around the PSL and abroad, though the Soweto giants have been yet to officially confirm their new players for the upcoming season.
However, Fortune Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu from Maritzburg United are expected to join coach Milutin Sredojevic’s team for the new season, according to sources in the know, and so are the Bloemfontein Celtic trio of Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
Tebogo ‘Messi’ Tloane is expected to make the switch to Bucs from Chippa United, following his impressive progress in Port Elizabeth, since joining the club from Jomo Cosmos.
Stars of Africa Football Academy product Pule Maraisane, who has been playing in Turkey for Cerkezköy 1911, is expected to also join the Buccaneers.

Bucs are also to make a decision on more than 10 players that were on loan at other clubs during the course of the 2018/19 season.
The players who have been on loan include Gladwin Shitolo, Phetso Maphanga, Tercious Malepe, Thembela Sikhakhane, Zakhele Lepasa, Ayanda Nkosi, Yusuf Maart, Lehlohonolo Mtshali, Siphumelele Mbulu, Brian Hlongwa and Sandile Mthethwa.
Meanwhile, Pirates will be expected to be in search of a new goalkeeper coach, following the departure of Welshman Andrew Sparkes, while the team will have to do without Marshall Munetsi, who has left for French side Stade de Reims.
