Mofedi Backs Pirates Latest Coaching Decision

A former Orlando Pirates midfielder, who is now one of the young coaches in the country, is in support of the club’s decision regarding the Buccaneers' technical team.

After being linked with some of the well-known and top coaches in Mzansi in recent weeks, including Cavin Johnson and Gavin Hunt, the Buccaneers have decided not to make any technical team changes, at least for now, with the club’s top brass believed to be happy with the team’s progress under co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids as the team seem to be finally improving and has been getting the desired results in recent matches.

“For me, the two coaches Mandla and Fadlu are doing very well, and I am happy with their progress. I have been watching them trying different combinations for the team to do well and the results of what they have been doing are there for everyone to see. Yes, their starting eleven has been changing quite a lot but that’s because they have been working on finding the right combinations. The way I see it, they have found their winning combination and all that is needed from the team is consistency,” former Pirates midfielder Hleza Mofedi pointed out.

“I am happy that the club has decided to give the two coaches a chance to work longer with the team. What I have noticed is that there is more unity in the team and the team spirit is on a high under the two coaches. The players seem to be playing for each other and they seem to be eager to work for the two coaches. What I like about Pirates management is that they always give coaches a chance to prove their worth. They are very supportive to the coaches, and I like that a lot about the club,” added Mofedi.
