Pirates will play Algerian side ES Setif at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday in their second meeting after the two teams drew 0-0 in Ghana last month and judging by Bucs coach Josef Zinnbauer’s reply to a question about the star’s progress on his recovery from injury, it seems that there is uncertainty as when the Bafana Bafana international will be ready to return.
“We know we need him, and he works on himself and the medical team is also (working on him). But I cannot say that he is ready for tomorrow or maybe ready for Saturday, I don’t know. We hope we get him soon,” said Zinnbauer, speaking to the media through virtual press conference.
Lorch, 27, has made 14 league appearances so far this season and he has been out of action since he was injured against SuperSport United in February.
On Saturday, the Buccaneers will be back in the DStv Premiership with what is expected to be an entertaining match against Swallows FC.
