Orlando Pirates have provided their latest update on goalkeeper Richard Ofori ahead of the match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian goalkeeper, who has done well to quickly make the number one jersey at Bucs his own since joining from Maritzburg United at the beginning of the season, was halted on his progress by an injury.
A word from the Buccaneers camp is that the 27-year-old has recovered, with the technical team set to make a decision about his inclusion in the matchday squad for tomorrow’s clash at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
“Richard Ofori has recovered,” Pirates’ media officer Thandi Merafe confirmed to the Siya crew.
The Buccaneers see the trip to Limpopo as an opportunity for their first three points of 2021 after playing a 1-1 draw with Swallows at Orlando Stadium on the weekend.
“About the TTM match, it’s an important game and we are playing away from home. It’s our first encounter with TTM in the DStv Premiership. Our technical team led by Josef Zinnbauer and Fadlu Davids have analysed them and we do have a plan in place for them, especially as we will be playing away from home and we are aware of the conditions at Thohoyandou. We are going for three points, especially as we are coming from a difficult result against Swallows,” said Merafe.
