A talented upcoming defender has emerged as one of the targets for Orlando Pirates as the club looks set to undergo huge changes to its squad at the end of the season.
As reported by the Siya crew, a number of names in recent weeks have made it into the list of targets for Pirates, including the Chippa United trio of big Cameroonian striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, Maloisane Mokhele and young Azola Matrose, as well as Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Sege Junior Dion from Marumo Gallants, while the club is expected to unveil Evidence Makgopa from Baroka FC, among other players.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Keegan Allan from the University of Pretoria has become the latest player to have attracted interest from the Buccaneers and is being closely monitored by the club, according to sources.
The 21-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns development product has been impressive for the Tshwane outfit and is one of the top performers in the GladAfrica Championship.
As reported by the Siya crew, the young centre-back turned down an opportunity to sign a long-term contract with Sundowns last year in favour of playing regular first team football with Tuks where he has been enjoying himself this season, while at the Brazilians he had been playing for the DStv Diski Challenge team.
Bucs are believed to be considering luring towering defender by offering him a first team contract to strengthen their defence.
