Orlando Pirates’ Mandla Ncikazi is seemingly already planning for the CAF Confederation Cup final, following the team’s 2-0 victory over Al-Ahli Tripoli in the first leg of their semi-final tie at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Sunday.
With the return leg at Orlando Stadium scheduled for this coming Sunday, the Buccaneers aim to wrap up the tie to advance to the final, and Ncikazi is expecting a good display from the players in front of their home supporters.

With Bucs blowing hot and cold with their performances and results in the DStv Premiership, and with Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids under increasing pressure approaching the end of the season, the former Golden Arrows mentor knows how doing well in the continental competition could turn their fortunes.

“I thought we should have scored more goals, I thought we applied ourselves so well against a good team. I’m just proud of my team today that they came into the party and executed what we expected from them. I’m just greedy that we could have scored more goals so that at least we know we’re settled but I’m gracious that we are still having the two goals. We just have to work on that and then try to get into the final by playing well at home,” said Ncikazi, speaking to the media after the match in Libya.
