Orlando Pirates have provided an update on last season’s top goal scorer Gabadinho Mhango ahead of this weekend’s Soweto Derby, while them club are sweating over the availability of three key players.

Just as in the first leg, Pirates will be without Malawian forward Mhango ahead of Sunday’s match as he misses out through injury. Zakhele Lepasa proved to be a suitable replacement after scoring the first of Pirates’ three goals against Amakhosi.
“Gabadinho Mhango is ruled out, he is definitely not available,” Davids told the media.
With one foot in the MTN8 final, thanks to a comfortable 3-0 lead. Pirates’ assistant coach Fadlu Davids has revealed that Pirates are sweating over the fitness of key players Terrence Dzuvukamanja, Thembinkosi Lorch and Thulani Hlatshwayo.
“We still awaiting Tyson, Lorch and Dzvukamanja. We’ll get the reports later in the day and we will make a decision to do a late fitness test or not”
Lorch (knee) and Dzvukamanja (head) suffered injuries in Pirates’ 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in midweek, and at the time Davids admitted that ‘it did not look good.’ Hlatshwayo meanwhile, missed the match completely.

Pirates will be hoping to complete the job, over Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Sunday. The match is scheduled for kick off at 15:00.
