The PSL has been suspended since mid-March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Buccaneers are in fourth place on the Absa Premiership log, with Sandilands having played 20 out of the 23 matches for the team.
The 36-year-old has registered eight clean-sheets so far as Bucs had been competing for finishing the campaign on a better position before the disruption of the deadly virus.
In an inspirational message on his official Twitter account in which he encourages safety, the shot-stopper added a picture of himself from a Bucs match with a caption that he can’t wait to be back on the field.
“Can’t wait to be back out there. Hoping that you are all staying safe. Keep your faith in these testing times,” the goalkeeper added.
As reported by the Siya crew, a decision on the goalkeeper's future is still expected to be made, as his current contract is set to expire at the end of next month.
