Pirates To Make Changes?

In their aim to catch up with Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City at the top of the Absa Premiership log, indications are that Orlando Pirates could make changes to their line-up for tonight’s fixture against SuperSport United.

The Buccaneers go into the game on the back of a CAF Champions League defeat to Green Eagles of Zambia, though will want to carry on with their 100% record in the Absa Premiership.

Having won their opening match of the season against Bloemfontein Celtic, Bucs will join Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City at the top of the table if they secure all three points tonight.

And in an attempt to solidify their defence, Siya sources have indicated that Coach Milutin Sredojevic could tweak his starting XI.

Defender Justice Chabalala could be brought back into the starting line-up, according to sources, following his splendid performance against Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup.

The 27-year-old centre-back was an unused substitute against Celtic, though was not in the mix for the Champions League as he has not been registered for the continental tournament.

Happy Jele and Alfred Ndengane have been the preferred pairing at centre back, up to now.

As reported, Pirates confirmed that the duo of Thembinkosi Lorch and Mthokozisi Dube are doubtful for the Matsatsantsa match, owing to their respective injuries.

Asavela Mbekile played at right-back against Eagles in Dube’s absence, while young Thabiso Monyane was the player in the starting line-up in that position against Siwelele.
