Orlando Pirates’ CAF Champions League opponents from Zambia have added six new players to their squad in preparation of their upcoming match against the Soweto giants.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to travel to Zambia this week for this coming weekend’s match against Green Eagles in the first leg of the preliminary round of the continental competition.
The Zambian club has confirmed that in preparing for the clash against Bucs, as well as their entire Champions League campaign, six new players have been added to the squad.
“Green Eagles Football Club has acquired the services of six players on permanent basis in a quest to beef up its squad ahead of the CAF Champions League games this month,” confirmed the club in a statement on their official website.
“The players (signed on a) permanent basis include: Andrew Kwiliko (Defender) from Nakambala Leopards, Bonson Muchindu (Defender) from Nkana, Benson Nzuma (Defender) from Nchanga Rangers, Gozon Mutale (Midfielder) from Power Dynamos, Hosea Silwimba (Midfielder) from Lumwana Radiants and Mangani Phiri (Striker) from Napsa Stars,” confirmed the club.
