Orlando Pirates are to make crucial decisions on at least 11 players, who finished the season on loan with other clubs around South Africa.
During the course of the 2018/19 season, the Buccaneers had the likes of Gladwin Shitolo, Phetso Maphanga, Tercious Malepe, Thembela Sikhakhane, Zakhele Lepasa, Ayanda Nkosi, Yusuf Maart, Lehlohonolo Mtshali, Siphumelele Mbulu, Brian Hlongwa and Sandile Mthethwa on loan at different clubs in the PSL and NFD respectively.
While all the players have made progress with their respective teams, the trio of Malepe, Mthethwa and Lepasa are raising their hands for Bucs’ technical team to seriously consider them for a chance in the first team for the new season.

The three players have done well while on loan at their respective teams, and were rewarded with call-ups to Bafana Bafana’s 2019 COSAFA Cup squad for the tournament to be hosted in Durban from 25 May to 8 June.
Pirates are expected to make decisions on the futures of all the players, as the team will be finalising next season’s squad in the upcoming weeks.
