Orlando Pirates head coach, Milutin Sredojevic, has sent a heartfelt message to Brilliant Khuzwayo, following the goalkeeper’s unexpected retirement from professional football at an early age.
As confirmed by Pirates on Wednesday, Khuzwayo has been forced into early retirement by an injury that has been verified by independent medical reports.
Due to the injury, Sredojevic had been yet to hand the 29-year-old his official debut in Bucs’ colours, as he struggled to recover since arriving at the club from Kaizer Chiefs last year.
“My Brilliant while u are closing chapter behind & opening new chapters ahead. U need to know that your unique spirit will live inside us all as we keep magnificent memories of u as generator of positive energy. Wherever u are & whatever u do may almighty God bless u & give u the best,” said Sredojevic, emotionally, on Twitter.
