As Maritzburg United and Ghanaian international goalkeeper Richard Ofori continues to be the subject of interest by Orlando Pirates, many in the football fraternity have lauded the shot-stopper for his work ethic.
A former trainer at the Pietermaritzburg outfit, Ronnie Kanalelo has commended the 26-year-old for his progress and professionalism.
“Richie is a fantastic human being. He is a very good goalkeeper as well. I mean, he works… he really works to get to the top. It was a really good experience working with him. He is very much disciplined, and like I say, he’s a very good human being,” said Kanalelo.
Asked about the potential Pirates move for the Black Stars shot-stopper, Kanalelo didn’t put it in many words, opting only to say, “He can do well anywhere.”
Ofori still has another year to run on his Maritzburg deal, although it is believed that his boss at the KZN club, Farook Kadodia would be keen to sell for the right price.
