Orlando Pirates head coach, Josef Zinnbauer, has promised to work on getting the team to score goals after Bucs’ goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Last night was the fourth consecutive match that the Buccaneers failed to score, having played a 0-0 draw against Golden Arrows in their last match before the break.
Prior to that, Pirates lost 1-0 to archrivals Kaizer Chiefs, which was after the win 1-0 win against Black Leopards through a Thabiso Mokoena own goal.
Pirates last scored during the 3-3 draw against Bidvest Wits in the Nedbank Cup in February, which they lost on penalties.
“We tried and we didn’t (score) and if we have little luck we would have made the goal, Zinnbauer told the journalists.
“But we’ll work on this. We had the chance but it’s little luck that we missed but as the next game comes closer we will make the goals,” he said.
