Josef Zinnbauer has lauded an Orlando Pirates star whom he says is giving his all for the club, this after the team’s impressive 2-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Against Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday, Linda ‘Figo’ Mntambo came off the bench and scored the second goal for Pirates to send the Buccaneers to the final of the MTN8 in style.
For his high work-rate and the positive energy which he brings to the team, the 31-year-old midfielder has been praised by the German coach.
“We know Linda and you know Linda; he is a guy who gives his all for the club (and) he gives all for the squad. He does all the work that he can do and now he got a little bit of success for the for the work he has done in the last weeks,” said Zinnbauer, speaking to the media after the Soweto Derby.
While he says he doesn’t like to single out individual players but to focus on the whole team, the Bucs mentor acknowledges Mntambo’s contribution to the team even though the former Chippa United star has been playing regularly.
“We know what he has, and we know what he can do. Yes, right, maybe he is the best guy in the team for motivation, for good words, for good spirit, he makes so many things before the game for us, it’s unbelievable,” the coach added.
