Orlando Pirates’ new midfield sensation Goodman Mosele has spoken about what he did not expect at the Soweto giants on his arrival from Baroka FC.
Mosele has fitted like a glove at the Buccaneers and has been dishing out sublime performances under Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.
The 21-year-old Bafana Bafana international will be expected to continue with his fine form as Bucs will be up against high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns in their highly anticipated DStv Premiership match in Orlando on Saturday.
Mosele has already scored two goals since making his debut against Stellenbosch FC in the opening match of the season.
The central midfielder has told Pirates’ media department about his impressive start at the club and says he didn’t expect to start playing immediately like he has done.
“I didn’t think the opportunity to start games would come so soon. I expected to spend some time adapting to the team’s style, but the chance came and I grabbed it,” said Mosele.
“I’m encouraged by how I’ve performed. All I can say is if you work hard, things will go well for you. Yeah, I’m quite proud of how I’ve played so far and I want to continue doing well,” he said.
“It’s important that we play well on Saturday. Whichever team gels well, will have the upper hand. It’s a big game, and we’re up for it,” he concluded.
