Swallows FC assistant coach Fani Madida says they will always strive to play attacking football after securing a point against Orlando Pirates.
Ruzaigh Gamildien's penalty cancelled out Bandile Shandu's early strike as the Birds and Pirates played to a 1-1 draw at Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday night.
Madida was in charge once again on Tuesday as Dylan Kerr watched on from the stands while he waits for his work permit.
"That's how we are. We always strive to get the goals. Because the team struggled prior, when we came into the team the team couldn't score. We always practice our offensive play. Because every time we attack, we know the opponent has to defend," Swallows tactician told SuperSport after the game,
"The best way of defending is to attack. It's still a work in progress. We'll get where we want to go. You could see we couldn't drop our tempo. Because we always like to play with intensity. We can see the light at the end of a huge tunnel."
"He (Ncikazi) was right because you see how they synchronise themselves with a free man that is coming They nearly caught us. They are very good in attacking in offensive play. They know where to run but we managed to cut that out with our two midfielders which were Cheeseboy [Mokoena] and Grant [Margeman].
"Because at the same time they were giving us extra numbers going forward. So at times we couldn't stop the forward pass. Because that's what we need to. To stop the forward pass. Because they can make the runs and not get the ball and nothing will come out of that. We really stuck with it. But it's again building up blocks for the next game."
