Siya sources in the know indicated that Orlando Pirates have made more progress in trying to land the services of a Bidvest Wits player.
The Siya crew reported on Wednesday that Pirates are believed to be overtaking Mamelodi Sundowns to the signature of Deon Hotto, despite the Brazilians having already tabled a whopping R17 million for three Wits players.
Sundowns are looking to land the services of Hotto, Thulani Hlatshwayo and Haashim Domingo and despite already submitting a bid to the club, there is still a possibility of a snag in the deal as it remains subject to each player agreeing to personal terms.
With that being said, the Siya crew has since been informed that talks between Hotto and Pirates have escalated and indications are that the Namibian international is set to agree personal terms with the Buccaneers.
Although, this also remains subject to Pirates and Wits reaching an agreement and as things stand, nothing has been confirmed as yet.
However, while the Bucs make progress in landing Hotto, there is still a possibility that the Brazilians could up the ante it what could turn into a bidding war for the 29-year-old.
In other news, Pirates remain keen on landing the signature of Hlatshwayo, while they have also made enquiries into the availability of Thabang Monare.
