Wounded Chippa Take Aim At Pirates

Orlando Pirates should be on alert in their next match as their opponents have vowed to come with nothing less than three points from the encounter.

While the Buccaneers will be hoping to make it two wins in a row, following their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Swallows last Saturday, Chippa United are like wounded lions at the moment after they were handed their first loss of the season on Sunday at Royal AM.

The Chilli Boys will host the Buccaneers at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday and midfielder Sammy Seabi says the Gqeberha-based outfit has identified its mistakes from the previous match and won’t be making things easy for the Soweto giants.

“I won’t really say a lot went wrong in that game, but I believe that it’s something that we have to learn from. I believe that we know where we got it wrong and where we are going right and now, we are preparing for the game that is coming against Pirates on Saturday. I believe that we are ready, and we have fixed where we thought maybe we had some issues. Now, we are prepared, and I believe we are ready for the next game,” said Seabi, speaking through the club’s media department.

The 26-year-old, who is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, says their coach Gavin Hunt has made them aware of what needs to be done against Bucs.

“He (Hunt) has been telling us a lot of things, tactically to be aware. You know, we are playing a very good side in Pirates, so we expect a lot from our players, including myself. We just need to man up and take responsibility. We can manage, we have done it before, and I believe we can do it again come Saturday. It is very important to get three points on Saturday because it will boost our morale and our confidence because we just come from a loss and we need to redeem ourselves and get back to winning ways,” concluded Seabi.
