CAF has confirmed Orlando Pirates’ CAF opponents for the quarterfinals of this year’s Confederation Cup.
The Buccaneers qualified for the last eight despite losing to Nigeria’s Enyimba 1-0 on Wednesday.
Pirates will take on Raja Casablanca of Morocco, following the draw that took place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Friday afternoon.
After finishing as the runners-up in Group A, Bucs will now face the daunting task of playing against Raja who were the winners in their group after finishing unbeaten and were last season's Champions League semi-finalists.
The full quarter-final draw:
CS Sfaxien v JS Kabylie
Orlando Pirates v Raja Athletic Club
Pyramids FC v Enyimba FC
Cotonsport FC v ASC Jaraaf
The first leg matches will be played on the weekend of 14-15 May, as confirmed, while the second leg fixtures will be on the weekend of the 21-22 May.
The draw for the semi-finals will be as follows:
Pyramids FC or Enyimba FC v Orlando Pirates or Raja Atheltic Club
Coton Sport FC or ASC Jaraaf v CS Sfaxien or JS Kabylie
It has been confirmed that the final of the Confederation Cup is scheduled for July 10.
