Police officer Thabo Mosia is continuing with his testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, currently underway in Pretoria.
Yesterday, the trial resumed in the High Court in Pretoria after being adjourned again last Friday, Sergeant Mosia described to the court how he received a call to attend to the crime scene on 26 October 2014 at the house in Vosloorus where Meyiwa was gunned down at the home of the mother of his then-girlfriend, singer and actress Kelly Khumalo.

According to Mosia, there was a bullet hole in the kitchen door of the house, while the officer also told the court that he found a bulletproof jacket, among other items that were discovered at the scene.

Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli are the five men accused of killing the football star and are charged with murder, attempted murder, robbery, possession of firearms without a licence and possession of ammunition.
Meanwhile, Kelly Khumalo’s legal representative Magdalene Moonsamy was requested to leave the court on Monday by the judge presiding over the trial after lead prosecutor, advocate George Baloyi, requested for the action to be taken.
Khumalo is expected to be among witnesses to give testimony in court at a later stage during the trial.
