Orlando Pirates are believed to be closely monitoring Victor Letsoalo’s situation at Royal AM as the KwaZulu-Natal club appears to be in catch-22 situation with the player.
In recent weeks, Letsoalo has been linked with a move away from Royal AM, with both Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs among clubs interested in his services after scoring nine goals.

However, Royal AM went on to dismiss the reports linking the 28-year-old with any move while also confirming that they exercised their option to extend the player’s contract to 2023.
The Siya crew has learnt that the club has made attempts to further extend the deal to make the player sign a new contract but have not yet succeeded in that move.
In fear of losing the Bafana Bafana international on a free, as he will be entering into the last year of the deal in under six months from now, Royal AM are believed to have thought about selling him should a right offer come their way.
So far, Letsoalo hasn’t showed any willingness in renewing his contract as he is interested in furthering his career in Gauteng.
“Orlando Pirates are still very interested in Victor Letsoalo and as part of the attempts to get the player, the club is keen on entering into a swap deal with one of their players. Royal AM have had a few players wanting to leave and Victor is one of them, as well as the likes of Jackson Mabokgwane and Sera Motebang,” said the source.

“Royal AM wouldn’t want to lose a top player like Letsoalo on a free and despite having previously said that he is not for sale, the club will listen if a right offer comes in fear of losing him without getting anything for him. The main thing for the club is to do well this season in the league and the aim is to finish on a respectable position and after that you can expect anything regarding player movements,” the source added.
