Edward Manqele – the Real Kings striker – has shared an inspiring message about moving on in life after making mistakes.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs striker has been reviving his career at the KwaZulu-Natal club in the GladAfrica Championship since last year.
“Do not regret mistakes you have done in past or changes you made. Think of your life as a book, read the present, close one chapter and open another, some pages may be your waste of time, learn from your mistake but focus on next page and it’s your future,” the 32-year-old said in his inspiring message, as written on his Facebook account.
Manqele made a name for himself in South African football as a regular goal-scorer at Free State Stars in the 2011/12 season, before making a move to Sundowns after only one season of Absa Premiership football, as he had come from the amateur ranks when he joined Ea Lla Koto.
The Randfontein-born player previously also played for Moroka Swallows and Chippa United among other clubs, following his unsuccessful spell in Chloorkop.
