Chippa United coach, Lehlohonolo Seema, aims to build from the performance of the match against Kaizer Chiefs in search of the first win of the season for the Eastern Cape outfit.
The Chilli Boys will host Maritzburg United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday evening hoping to finally get their first win of the season, after drawing their first match against Cape Town City and losing to Chiefs in the most recent fixture.
“We played against Kaizer Chiefs, I think we came across a team that played well on the day, a team that looked like were hungrier than us. I’m not surprised, we are building a team here and it’s expected to have these fluctuations of performances because we are a new team and had a lot of youngsters,” said Seema, speaking to the media.
“We know that we are coming against another difficult team again, a hard-running team in Maritzburg. We are expecting a very difficult game against Maritzburg, they are also looking for their first win (and) we are also looking for our first win, so it’s going to be a very close contest. I think this time we are hungry more than them and hopefully tomorrow we can get the results that we are looking for,” the coach added.
