A Kaizer Chiefs-bound defender has penned an emotional letter to say his goodbyes to his club ahead of his pending move to the Soweto giants.

As reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs are believed to be on the verge of signing AmaZulu left-back Sibusiso Mabiliso, with sources indicating that a deal has already been agreed to in principle between the parties.

After playing in AmaZulu’s last game of the season against Maritzburg United on Saturday, the 22-year-old said his goodbyes to the Durban-based club in an emotional letter he posted on his Facebook account.

Mabiliso wrote:

Today I am saying goodbye to everyone at @amazulu_fc after my three-and-half year stay with the club.

Thank you for our time together, we have created great memories and I felt part of the family.

To the President, Mr Zungu and all the staff, I’m humbled and grateful to have been given the opportunity to play for this amazing club.

I will always be grateful for everything that you’ve done for me and this club will always have a special place in my heart.
