AmaZulu general manager, Lunga Sokhela, has confirmed what the club has told Orlando Pirates regarding the services of defender Thembela Sikhakhane.
Having finished his third successive season on loan with AmaZulu, Sikhakhane is on his way back to Pirates, where a decision about his future is expected to be made.

Since signing for Pirates in 2016 from Golden Arrows, the 27-year-old defender spent only one season with the Soweto giants, as he has been with Usuthu for the last three years.
“Thembela Sikhakhane automatically goes back to his club. He was here on a season-long loan. This was his second (third) season. We’ve indicated to Orlando Pirates that we appreciate them assisting us with the player but from our side a decision has been made not to renew the player’s loan agreement,” AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela said, speaking to the media through the club’s virtual press conference today.

As confirmed to the Siya crew by Sikhakhane’s agent Mike Makaab from Prosport international, the Ulundi-born right-back has another year to run on his contract with Pirates.
Sikhakhane didn’t have the best of seasons in the 2019/20 campaign compared to the previous ones, having made only nine starts in the league as the Durban-based outfit struggled at the bottom half of the log throughout and fighting against relegation.
