Orlando Pirates’ line-up for the coming weekend’s match is expected to be tweaked due to unavailability of team captain Happy Jele.
Against Stellenbosch FC last weekend, Jele picked up his fourth yellow card of the season, and will be suspended for Saturday’s league match in the repeat fixture in Cape Town.
Having been in and out of the team this season, Alfred Ndengane could be the player that caretaker coach Rulani Mokwena could possibly look at to fill in for Jele in central defence.
Ndengane, 32, has made three starts in the league so far this season, and was an unused substitute in the cup match on Saturday.
The other available centre-back for Bucs is Justice Chabalala, though his chances of featuring in the next match are slim, as he has struggled for game-time this season.
Innocent Maela, who missed the previous match, could be another option for the Buccaneers to strengthen the defence, depending on the technical team’s decision and player availability.
Prior to the Stellenbosch match at Orlando Stadium, Maela started in all of Pirates’ matches this season.
