After Mamelodi Sundowns signed Rushine De Reuck from Maritzburg United, Soccer Laduma looks at his value compared to other central defenders in the team.
De Reuck has been signed in time to be registered for the CAF Champions League and will help solve the defensive problems Sundowns have at the moment, with injuries giving coaches a big headache.
The highly rated De Reuck has signed a five-year deal with Masandawana and could feature in their next DSTV Premiership against Chippa United on Sunday, January 31.
According to figures on German website, transfermarkt.com, De Reuck is valued at €425 000 (± R7.8 million).
The highest valued central defender at Sundowns is former Ajax Cape Town captain Mosa Lebusa. The Bafana Bafana player is valued at €600 000 (± R11 million). Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento, who has been out nursing, is valued at 500 000 (± R9.1 million). Kenyan Brian Onyango, a surprise signing earlier this season, is valued at €400 000 (± R7.3 million). Ivorian defender Bangaly Soumahoro is at €125 000 (±R2.2 million).
