Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic has resigned! The news come as a shock despite results having not gone the club’s way in their last two outings – an encounter in the CAF Champions League and another in the Absa Premiership.
The club has confirmed his departure in a brief statement on their official website late at 10.30pm Friday.
Sredojevic has recently been linked with the coaching job at Zamalek having made the shortlist, according Siya sources. But the Egyptian giants two days ago appointed Aleksandar Stanojević, who is the now former Bucs coach’s Serbian compatriot.
It will become clearer in the coming days what exactly were the “personal reasons” that led to him abruptly quitting his position as Pirates head coach when he still had this current season remaining on his contract.
