Bucs' Diski Title Hopes Dented, Chiefs Lose Again!

Stellenbosch remained at the summit after edging ten-man Orlando Pirates in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday afternoon at Makhulong Stadium.

Ndumiso Ngiba broke the deadlock for Pirates on the stroke of halftime but Jared Van der Burg found the equaliser for Stellies early in the second stanza.

The Buccaneers were reduced to ten men just before the hour-mark after goalscorer Ngiba got his second booking and was sent off.

The Western Cape side took full advantage, as Devin Titus gave them the lead a couple of minutes later.

Pirates thought they had snatched the equaliser 13 minutes before time after Cassius Spandiel found the back of the net but his goal was disallowed for offside.

SuperSport United 4-3 Kaizer Chiefs

SuperSport United leapfrogged Orlando Pirates in second place after edging Kaizer Chiefs in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday morning at Makhulong Stadium.

Sbusiso Maziko gave Matsatsantsa an early lead from the penalty spot, Tendamudzimu doubled their lead midway through the first stanza and Maziko made it 3-0 just before the half-time break.

Wandile Duba pulled a goal back for Chiefs on the stroke of half-time and Keletso Sifama got the second goal back early in the second stanza.

However, Neo Rapoo restored a two-goal cushion for Thabo September's charges 13 minutes before time.

Mthokozisi Balakazi reduced the deficit for Amakhosi to 4-3 in stoppage time but it was too little too late.

Mamelodi Sundowns 1-2 TS Galaxy

Mamelodi Sundowns' winless streak extended to three matches after a 2-1 loss to TS Galaxy on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Daanyal Daya and Sabelo Zulu were on target for the Rockets as they won their fourth game in five matches.

Maritzburg United 2-0 Baroka

Maritzburg United got over their back-to-back losses after beating Baroka 2-0 on Saturday morning at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Ngcobo opened the scoring for the Team of Choice in the 19th minute from the penalty spot and Ashley Wyngaard doubled their lead early in the second stanza.

Golden Arrows 1-2 Sekhukhune United

Sekhukhune United ended their seven-game winless streak after last-gasp 2-1 win over Golden Arrows on Sunday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Babina Noko went ahead early in the game through a long range strike that evaded goalkeeper Monwabisi Mwandla.

Duma pulled a goal back for Arrows just after the half-time break but Mashigo snatched the winner for the visitors in stoppage time.
