Nedbank Ke Yona graduate, Nkanyiso Nene, is thought to have started training with Mamelodi Sundowns after his time with Kaizer Chiefs came to an end.
Nene, who was previously training with Amakhosi, is believed to have been given an opportunity to impress at Chloorkop.
The 22-year-old centre back impressed during Nedbank’s talent search, however – as previously reported by the Siya crew, his training spell training at Naturena didn’t result in him joining the Glamour Boys.
It is unknown how long the defender, who was given the captain's armband when the Ke Yona team clashed with Free State Stars, will be given to impress at Sundowns, though he will be eager to try and land himself a deal with the reigning league champions.
A number of youngsters, such as Tristan Moses, have moved from Chiefs to Sundowns of late, and Nene will be eager to try and prove Chiefs wrong as he looks to impress David Notoane and the technical staff of Masandawana’s youth setup.
The crew will continue to monitor Nene’s situation to see if Sundowns would want to offer him a contract and his first steps into professional football.
