Nedbank Ke Yona midfielder Tshepo Mashego will head to Kaizer Chiefs for a month from 1 October as he looks to prove his worth to head coach Steve Komphela.
The Ke Yona team lost 1-0 to SuperSport United over the weekend, but will be buoyed by their performance on the day.
According to a press release, Mashego is one of 17 players who have been given month-long trials at various Absa Premiership outfits, with Iyanda Mabani going to Orlando Pirates, and Tshepo Aphane being given a chance at Mamelodi Sundowns.
The PSL draft is now in its second year, with the 2015 edition seeing players such as Ian Chikohwa (University of Pretoria), Luthando Sixhaso (Kaizer Chiefs), Thamsanqa Gwabeni (Platinum Stars) and Jarred Meyer (Jomo Cosmos) all land professional deals, and it is hoped that there will be more success stories this time around.
