Free State Stars attacker, Thokozani Sekotlong, has said that his team will be looking to take advantage of Orlando Pirates' poor form and repeat their exploits last weekend to eliminate the Buccaneers from the Nedbank Cup.
Pirates Join Downs In Interest For Stars Star?
Ea Lla Koto came away with a 3-2 victory in a pulsating encounter with the Sowetan giants in a league match last weekend and they will now meet each other in the Nedbank Cup. Sekotlong has said how happy the team was with the win and that they will be looking to cause another upset today.
“We definitely want to (cause an upset) and we were very happy with the game on Saturday, it was good to be scoring goals again,” he told Soccer Laduma. “But it’s not going to be easy and we have to work hard.”
With Pirates winning just one of their last 14 games in all competitions, Sekotlong said that his teammates will be looking to take advantage of their vulnerability, before praising coach Serame Letsoaka for helping the team to return to winning ways, with two wins and a draw from their last three games.
“We want to take advantage of that (Pirates’ form) and the coach (Serame Letsoaka) has been making us work very hard, so it’s very good for the team that we are starting to win games now.”
