Following their 4-0 drubbing of ABC Motsepe side, Tornado FC, Orlando Pirates midfield enforcer, Thandani “Bibo” Ntshumayelo, has praised the Bucs faithful for their unwavering support through the highs and lows the Buccaneers have endured through the past year.
Bibo we won't make the same mistake
“They are an inspiration to us and we always want to do them proud. At our lowest moments they were there for us and they never wavered in their support, it is a wonderful feeling for us as players to know that the supporters are always there for us, so yes I just want them to know that we salute and appreciate their loyalty,” expressed the Bucs midfielder on his club’s website.
The 24-year-old midfielder was undoubtedly the performer of the night in which he bagged a brace for the Soweto giants and earned the Man-of the-Match award.
“I play for a big team with talented players and we all want to do well for the team, so whenever I get a chance to play I know I owe it to myself and the guys to put in a good performance.”
“It’s always nice to score, I normally play deeper and I don’t always get a chance to be in those positions but yesterday I had the opportunity to go up and that freed me to score the two goals.
"I think due to their lack of experience in playing top flight football, they gave us a lot of space to play in and exploit, hence the result,” he adds.
