Chiefs’ Ntshangase: I’m Always On The Bench
Siphelele Ntshangase May Have Expressed His Disappointment About His Lack Of Game-Time
Siphelele Ntshangase says that he has been watching Kaizer Chiefs’ struggles from the bench, but always remembers that the team is not all about him as a player.
The 24-year-old is yet to live up to expectations since his arrival at Amakhosi in January this year, although, insists that once he gets an opportunity from the bench, he will make use of it.
“I will be very happy if we can win silverware, because if you check, for the past three seasons the team hasn’t won anything… so if I get an opportunity I will make use of it,” Ntshangase told the media.
The midfielder has made just nine appearances in all competitions since joining Amakhosi.
“Up until the coach gives me a chance, then I can answer your question, but most of the time I’m always on the bench I could see that the team is struggling but remember that the team is not all about me.
“I think as long as you do things right at the right time, things work. For me, I’d probably say that playing for a big team there will always be pressure, but for me, nah, there’s no pressure.
“A complete player can defend and attack, so I think one thing that lacks for me is defending. For me there’s no pressure, I don’t have it. Given an opportunity to play, maybe that is where I will be able to express my feelings, he added.
