Cape Town City winger Bradley Ralani felt the result against Mamelodi Sundowns was unfortunate, considering how well they played.
The Citizens failed to qualify for the Nedbank Cup semi-finals after losing 2-1 to Sundowns on Sunday afternoon.
Ralani scored City's only goal and picked up the Man of the Match accolade.
“It was nice to be on the field today Sundowns is a very good team so I had to show my quality against a team like this you know. It’s good,” Ralani told SuperSport after the match.
“I hoped the one time or two I broke through we could have got one or two goals in the first half but we couldn’t and they got us on a counter in the second half and scored the goal.
“We had a very good game but they took it all it’s unfortunate for us. This is my best game for City so far I think.”
