The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that the venue to host the Nedbank Cup final will be announced during the semi-final draw this evening, April 24.
Kaizer Chiefs missed out on a spot in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, after crashing to defending champions, SuperSport United in the quarter-finals which took place on Saturday, April 25.
On the other side of Soweto, Orlando Pirates booked their spot in the next round, after claiming a 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in extra time.
Chippa United and Golden Arrows also claimed victories over Jomo Cosmos and Platinum Stars respectively, which saw them make up the four teams that are through to the semi-finals of the competition.
The draw for the semi-finals and the announcement of the draw for the final will take place tonight at 19h00. The PSL has confirmed the procedure the procedure for the draw.
“#NedbankCup SF Draw Procedure:
- All four clubs will be placed in one pot
- There will be no seeding
- In each sequence, the first ball to the drawn will be the home club and the second ball will be their opponent, the away club
- This process will be repeated until all fixtures are finalized,” as confirmed in a press release issued by the PSL.
