Pitso: We Did Well, But Lost Some Fluidity

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane was pleased to progress into the Nedbank Cup last eight on Saturday.

The Brazilians recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over National First Division outfit Mbombela United to secure a spot in the next round.

Mosimane was satisfied overall, but admitted it was tough without so many of his first-choice players.

He said: "It was a beautiful game full of drama. What's important for us is to go through to the last eight.

"We scored three goals, could've scored more. Our opponents scored one. They played well. They're a good team.

"We're going to Kinshasha. We got to get a result there. It might not be as rosy as it was tonight.

"It was not very smooth, but if you have so many unavailable players like, (Anthony) Laffor, (Hlompho) Kekana, Teko (Modise), Leo (Castro). You lose a lot of fluidity, but what's important is we score three goals and we win."
