Nedbank Cup semi-finalists Baroka FC have confirmed adding five new players to their squad in preparing for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.
With the club preparing for their Nedbank Cup semi-final against Bloemfontein Celtic, as well as the resumption of the league matches, the club has added five players in coach Dylan Kerr’s squad in Bernard Bobete, Nimrod Mpe, Tshego Molapo, Job Maphutha and Mogale Thuso from the MultiChoice Diski Challenge team.
Baroka is one of the Absa Premiership sides that were recently affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, after it was confirmed that at least four players in their camp tested positive for the deadly virus.
All four players have since joined their teammates after it was confirmed that they are now negative after they were re-tested.
Meanwhile, in addressing concerns about clubs potentially having to restart the season without some of their key players due to issues relating to Covid-19, PSL chairman Irvin Khoza recently said that teams would have the privilege of using their MDC players in the first team in line with the attempts to finish the season.
