Chippa United reached the Nedbank Cup final for the first time after edging Pretoria Callies 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Chilli Boys made four changes from the loss to Mamelodi Sundowns, as Thamsanqa Sangweni, Nyiko Mobbie and Ramasimong Maloisane were all recalled alongside a rare start for Luvuyo Phewa.
Thabiso Lebitso had a big chance to give Chippa an early lead in the eighth minute after beating the offside trap to go clear on goal but he dilly-dallied trying to play a square pass and the opportunity went abegging
The Romans were absorbing the pressure, playing on counter-attacks and William Twala came close to giving them the lead in the 26th minute with an powerful effort that forced shot-stopper Ismail Watenga into a fine save.
Thabiso Nkwana had a chance to break the deadlock for the hosts on the stroke of half-time after breaking down the right, but his effort was smothered by Watenga as the sides went to the break goalless.

Nkoana had another wonderful chance for Callies three minutes inside the second stanza after going through on goal and while he got past Watenga, he could not capitalise with the net gaping.
Joel Masutha's charges paid the price for the miss, as Sandile Mthethwa broke the deadlock for the Chilli Boys in the 63rd minute with a volley at the near post after Callies failed to clear their lines inside the box.
Masutha responded with a triple change in the 68th minute, as he brought on Malwande Natemba in place of Nkoana, Njabulo Buthelezi came on for Pheko and Pogiso Mahlangu replaced Siyabonga Menziwa, to take the game to Chippa.
Mahlangu had a big chance to level matters for Callies in the 73rd minute with a free header inside the box that sailed over the bar after a cross by Keorapetse Sebone.
Chippa handed former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Oupa Manyisa his debut seven minutes before time in place of Phewa for fresh legs.
Bienvenu Eva Nga had a goal disallowed for Chippa in stoppage time for offside but they had done just enough to reach the final for the first time and will face the winner between Sundowns and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
