Chiefs' Gould Downplays "Small Team" Tag
Following the Nedbank Cup Last 16 draw earlier today where Kaizer Chiefs were pitted against National First Division campaigners, Black Leopards, Amakhosi defender, Morgan Gould has downplayed that the Limpopo outfit are a "small team".
The Glamour Boys progressed past the last 32 stage after an onslaught on ABC Motsepe League side, Edu Sport FC, with the Naturena outfit emerging victorious in that clash with a 4-0 scoreline.
Gould refused to label Leopards as a minor team, further emphasising that their performance against Edu was not their best, and that they now had to dig deep against Lidoda Duvha.
He told the Siya crew that they want to win as many trophies as they can and, beating Leopards would bring them closer to achieving that.
"In football you can't say we are playing a small team as there are no small teams. We know Leopards as they have been there before and will want to prove that they are still a good team.
“We have to do better than we did against Edu Sports and make sure we kill the game early," Gould observed.
The last time these two sides met in this competition was last season when it took a single extra time strike from Knowledge Musona to see off Leopards.
