Denis Onyango: 6

A quiet for the Sundowns shot-stopper, but made a fine save in stoppage time.

Mzikayise Mashaba: 6

Mashaba put in a fine showing against Thanda, both defensively and got forward on many occasions.

Siyanda Zwane: 6

Impressed in the heart of the defence and got the penalty for Sundowns after a good exchange passing move.

Alje Schut: 7

Stepped up when his team needed him the most by scoring the opening goal and he was solid at the back.

Ramahlwe Mphahlele: 6

The Sundowns defender put in another solid showing in defence and frustrated the Thanda Royal Zulu attackers.

Bongani Zungu: 6

Struggled in the opening exchanges but was given more freedom when Hlompho Kekana was brought on and his performance improve.

Anthony Laffor: 5

Didn't show much attacking intent in the first half and was replaced just before the halftime break.

Teko Modise: 7

Another impressive showing from Sundowns' talisman, picked out Schut for the opening goal and made no mistake from the penalty spot in the second half.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: 6

A bit of a inconsistent showing from the Sundowns winger, his final ball was also poor on a couple occasions.

Khama Billiat: 6

Not the best of games from the Zimbabwean midfielder, had a few surging runs in the first half but was quiet for most of the game.

Cuthber Malajila: 6

Continued to cause problems with his aerial threat for most of the game and nearly got his name on the score-sheet in the 70th minute.

Substitutes:

Hlompho Kekana: 6 

Replaced Laffor just before the halftime break and his introduction gave Zungu the freedom to play.

Themba Zwane: 5

Came on in the 69th minute and had a hand in the penalty being award to Sundowns, but was quiet for overall

Surprise Moriri: 5

Was introduced in the 76th minute but hardly made any impact with the result already decided.
