Orlando Pirates midfielder, Mpho Makola revealed winning the Nedbank Cup was one of their goals for this season.
Makola scored for the second straight Nedbank Cup clash, as Pirates recorded a 4-1 win over Free State Stars on Saturday evening.
The midfielder, who also picked up the Man of the Match award in the previous round, was optimistic about his side's chances of going all the way in the tournament.
"We had goals that wanted to achieve this season and one of those goals is to win the Nedbank Cup," Makola said after the game.
"So far it's been good and we are happy with that. We are just hopeful that we can go through to the final and eventually win it for the chairman and the supporters as well."
Makola also explained what they did differently from last week's 3-2 loss to Stars in the league.
"We went back to the drawing board after last week's game, they (Stars) were a bit aggressive and today, we also needed to be aggressive. In doing that we got the desire result," he added.
