Abbubaker Mobara's first-half goal was enough to hand Pirates a 1-0 win on the day to secure their spot in the final against SuperSport United.
Despite suffering defeat, Larsen was pleased with what he saw against the Buccaneers.
"It's a huge disappointing for my players, they've given their all today. We went pound-for-pound with Pirates," Larsen told SuperSport after the game.
"Very unfortunate to have conceded on a set piece but I thought in the second half we had two or three big chances. It could have gone either way.
"I'm very proud of my charges. I thought they left it out there and I'm looking forward to the last (league) game against Orlando Pirates."
