Baroka FC coach, Kgoloko Thobejane, speaks on defeating two PSL teams and facing a third, following the Nedbank Cup quarter-final draw.
Speaking in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, the NFD table-topping coach, revealed the atmosphere at the club, following victories against more fancied PSL opponents in Chippa United and Golden Arrows.
“The mood in the club is absolutely great and very positive. Each and every person that is associated with Baroka FC is smiling.”
“It is the feeling every football club works towards – the experience of a happy family,” he said.
The last-eight draw was held on Thursday night and sees South Africa’s NFD giant killers, Baroka face up against yet another Absa Premiership outfit in fellow Limpopo outfit Polokwane City.
Thobejane believes that his team’s progress thus far in the Nedbank Cup is an indication of how serious they in this year’s competition.
“The feeling of advancing to the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals is both great and unbelievable.”
“Beating two PSL teams, first Chippa United in the Last 32 where we won 3–2 and then Golden Arrows 2–0 in the last 16 – cannot be a fluke at all,” he concluded.
