Chiefs To Assess Khune Injury Today
Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, who just returned from a long lay off due to injury, got injured again on Saturday in their 4-0 win over Edu Sports in the Nedbank Cup when he collided with Morgan Gould.
According to information received is that he injured his back when Gould's knee hit him in the back.
Coach Stuart Baxter revealed to the Siya crew that the former Bafana Bafana number one will be assessed today to see how bad the injury is.
"It seems very painful and will settle as time goes on but at the moment we can't really say how bad the injury is,"Baxter said.
"He was hit in the back by Gould knee and you know that can be very bad and painful. It is bone to bone and you know how that can be.
"At the moment he is still in pain but let's wait and see what comes out. We wouldn't want to lose him again at this moment,"
