Orlando Pirates coach, Eric Tinkler, was pleased to see his team beat Jomo Cosmos and is hoping to go all the way and win the Nedbank Cup trophy this season.
Pirates, who are the second most successful side in the history of the competition with 8 titles, five behind Kaizer Chiefs who have claimed it on 13 occasions, beat Jomo Sono’s men 3-1 on Saturday and, Tinkler is glad that they are now close to coming away with silverware this season.
"This game was very important. We needed to win this game so that we get closer to winning the trophy that we want, " he told the Siya crew.
The 45-year-old added that his team will give their all to reach their goal this season.
“We are getting closer to a trophy now but we will keep on fighting until we achieve what we want. The most important thing is we won against Cosmos," Tinkler concluded.
