In planning for their Nedbank Cup final against Kaizer Chiefs, TS Galaxy head coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela has called on some well-known legends in South African football to assist him in his preparations for the showdown.
The National First Division side will play the biggest match in their history, when they take on Amakhosi at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on May 18.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns legend Eric Ramasike confirmed that he and former Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya have been invited by Malesela to assist in preparing the team for the match.
“Look, I got a call from Dan Malesela on Monday asking me if I can come and help him talk to the players before the final. He wants me and Pollen Ndlanya to talk to his players before they take on Chiefs in the final,” confirmed Ramasike.
Galaxy caused an upset as they beat Golden Arrows 3-1 in their semi-final match two weeks ago.
“Most of them (TS Galaxy players) never been in the situation like this before and that is where Pollen (and I) come in. They must know that anything can happen in football and that they can do it. We will help them prepare mentally. We will also pay them another visit on Friday, the eve of the cup final,” concluded Ramasike.
As confirmed by the PSL this week, tickets for the eagerly-awaited match have been sold out.
