Tso: It’s A Final Before The Final

Pirates and Sundowns will square off at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Thursday as they look to progress to the semifinal, where Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila lie in wait.

Ahead of the crunch encounter, Vilakazi or the ‘Little Napoleon’ as he was affectionately known in his playing days, spoke exclusively to the Siya crew on what he thinks will transpire on Thursday.

“Eish, I don't want to lie, it’s going to be a tough match. Sundowns have been on a high in international competitions and by that I mean the CAF Champions League. Pirates are also doing well, but not really, really, well compared to Sundowns but they also doing well in the league and also in the Confederations Cup,” Vilakazi told the crew.

“Look, both teams have got quality, games like this I normally say only coaches can win the game or individual brilliance from the players can win you games like this, because this is a final before the final, actually.

“Look, I don't see anyone stopping these two teams. If Pirates can go through, I don't see anyone stopping them from winning the cup. If Sundowns go through, I don't see anyone stopping them. That is why I'm saying they've got quality and they can match each other pound for pound in each department they can match each other. On the day, it’s only both technical teams and how they prepare their teams in terms of performance and who needs to start and who needs to be on the bench,” he added.

The clash is scheduled for Thursday at 18:00.
