Baroka FC coach, Dylan Kerr, says he is nervous about his team’s upcoming cup match against Bloemfontein Celtic.
Kerr will be attempting to get Bakgaga past Siwelele at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday in order to reach the final of the Nedbank Cup.
However, the coach is worried that the team will be playing only its first match after over five months without action.
“Yeah, it’s the return of football after a long five long months of no action in the PSL and in the Nedbank semi-finals. The final should have been over and done with. We should have been ready for the new season and preparing for the new season. Unfortunately this pandemic, this COVID-19 put paid to that,” he told the media.
“I’m excited, I’m nervous, I’m scared, I’m worried, I’m ecstatic and I’ve got all the emotions, not just for Nedbank but for the remaining part of the season because it’s been long time since my players played football and we’ve only been back a couple of weeks following the NSL guidelines and following the COVID-19 compliance officer, the government, SAFA and the PSL. It’s good to be back,” said the coach.
